Bio

Composer and jazz guitarist Nathan Corr lays claim to nearly 15 years of stage performance, music education, and media composition experience, culminating in the emotionally evocative music he writes for film, television, animation, and video games. His love of the vibrant tradition of classic-era JRPGs such as Chrono Trigger clearly shines through in his own compositions, as do the orchestral stylings of Howard Shore and Joe Hisaishi. While the charismatic sound of electric guitar can be found at the heart of most of his music, Nathan also draws on his love for rich orchestral palettes, jazz harmony and rhythm, and—most of all—melodies that tell a story.

Nathan graduated as a Bachelor of Music with a minor in Business at Carleton University in 2013. In 2022, he completed a graduate certificate in Sheridan College’s Music Scoring for Screen and Stage program in order to further train his compositional prowess.
